Brian Casey started Northern Illinois Sustainable Energy in December 2010 with the idea of offering solar arrays and wind turbine systems to the state line area. While working toward his applied science degree in Sustainable Energy System Integration from Rock Valley College, he discovered the first step to sustainability: energy efficiency. He has since become a BPI(Building Performance Institute) professional with his Building Analyst and Envelope certifications.
